Times Table Rockstars!

Coming home in the next few days are your children’s logon details to an exciting new website designed to help children increase their speed and accuracy with times tables.

Year 3 is a really key year for the learning of times tables, so we’re very keen that our children get as many opportunities to learn them as possible!

All the children have had a go at using the website today, have chosen a rockstar name (!) and designed their avatar (cartoon-like profile picture character), as well as taken part in some challenges too.

In order to log in, use the details sent home, (either on a card, or a sticker in reading record) and click the link below to find instructions.

Rock on!

Homework

For homework this week we would like the children to complete the following tasks:

  1. This week we have been reading the story ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne.  The children are learning the text in preparation for writing their own version of the story next week.  For homework, we would like the children to retell the story to parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters etc.

2. In topic we have been learning the parts of a plant and their functions.  We would like the children to draw a plant in their garden/local park and label it.  Please see topic homework task below for more information.
