Week Beginning Monday 11.6.18

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the last half term in Year 3!  We hope you had a very relaxing half term holiday.

Topic

Monday was a fantastic introduction to our India topic, the children really enjoyed experiencing the different types of school.  They even got to try some vegetable curry! In forthcoming topic lessons, the children will begin to conduct their own research about aspects of Indian life.

Maths

This week we will continue to practise division, developing our understanding of written methods as well as completing reasoning activities and investigations.

Literacy

We will be learning the story of Rama and Sita.

Homework

Your child will bring home a division game to play at home with parents or siblings.  The aim of the game is to improve mental recall of division facts and to reinforce the relationship between multiplication and division.
